What if I want to ask questions over the phone or by e-mail before I order?

What if I want to check on a pending order I already placed on your website or over the phone?

Your placed order will include USPS tracking information and any order update information will be sent to you via email.  If you have any additional questions about your shipment, please email UniQ at Doug@UniQjewelry.com.

What if I want to ship internationally?

At this time we do not take international orders through our website. However, we'd be more than happy to send our items to you internationally on a case by case basis. Please email UniQ at Info@UniQjewelry.com with details of what you would like to order and your contact information. 

What if I want to expedite my shipping*?

Please include this information in your order within the notes section during checkout. Expedited overnight shipping will be an additional $35 charge and an employee from UniQ will contact you. Please note that we ship Wed-Sat.  Please email UniQ at Info@UniQjewelry.com with details of what you would like to order and your contact information. 

Which of my items are returnable?

Your satisfaction is our top priority with the service as well as product(s).  Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.  The other items that are exempt from being returned are Gift Certificates, Designer and Estate Jewelry. We accept returns within 10 business days once you receive the product. All shipping charges are non-refundable. The item(s) must be unaltered and returned in the same condition that you received it. You must include the original packaging, the original  invoice, and proof of purchase or receipt (please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer). After 10 business days there are NO RETURNS, NO EXCEPTIONS! If there is a GROSS ERROR on our part that merits a FULL RETURN then we will review the return and quickly resolve the matter with an email or phone to notify you of such.

I forgot my password or user ID; can I get them e-mailed to me?

Within the UniQ website, click on My Account. Under email address you'll see "Forgot my Password?" Click this link and follow the instructions.

Do all rings come in the same size or are there different sizes available?

In our designer section, the item description will state the size. If you need a different size in that one-of-a-kind piece, we would need you to email us so that we can let you know if that particular item can be sized to your specification.  In general, the pieces that are listed in other collections may have an additional choice in size, though it could be limited. Please feel free to email us with your request at Info@UniQjewelry.com

Do you offer engraving?

We offer engraving on specific products, the script, the cost of the engraving, and the timeframe in which this could be done would have to be addressed by contacting us at Info@UniQjewerly.com or by calling 269-459-1669

Is it possible to create a ring online?

Creating a custom designed ring cannot be done online, though we can create this for you through internet contact.  Please email us at Info@UniQjewelry.com

Do you offer services to create custom jewelry that is "one of a kind"?

Yes, UniQ specializes in One-of-a-Kind creations.  We would like to get all of your wishes and dreams for the piece verbally over the phone at 269-459-1669, in person, or through email contact.  If you are wishing to send sketches or photos of your ideas to us please send them with attention to owner and artist, Doug Mitchell.  Info@UniQjewelry.com. We will guide you through every step of this process, until your unique piece is complete and delivered to you. 

If I saw a ring on your website can I order one just like it?

If you have seen a custom designed ring on our website that you like, those are only made one time and the mold is broken.  But, we are happy to take the inspiration from that piece and create one similar, with your individual visions incorporated into the design of a new and unique piece made only for you.

Do you have a trade-in policy?

Not at this time.

What colored gemstones are considered precious?

Diamonds, Rubies, Sapphires and Emeralds are precious gemstones. All other gemstones are referred to as semi-precious.

What is the difference between natural and lab-created stones?

Lab-created stones are formed in a controlled environment whereas natural gemstones are formed by mother nature's natural processes. Both share the same physical, chemical and visual properties. The lab produced stone is usually free from major defects and can be structurally stronger than its natural counterpart while also achieving optimum color.

What are the 4 C’s of buying a diamond?

4 C's is a universal grading system developed by GIA (Gemological Institute of America) to evaluate the quality of a diamond.  The 4 C's are Carat, Color, Clarity and Cut.

How much should I spend on an engagement ring?

You should spend what is comfortable in your financial budget. Though, there is a little rule of thumb that you may consider using to invest in a “forever ring” -  the equivalent to 3 months salary!

How should I store my jewelry?

You should store all jewelry in a clean, dry and safe place when you are not wearing it. Store the pieces so that they do not touch one another and  try to put sterling silver in tarnish resistant bags.

How should I clean my jewelry?
How often should I have my jewelry inspected?

You should have your fine jewelry inspected by a reputable jeweler every 3-6 months. Prongs can wear, bend and even break without your knowledge. Taking a moment to have your jewelry inspected and cleaned can save you from losing a very valuable and cherished stone. UniQ does not charge for inspection or cleaning of your fine jewelry when and if possible please feel free to bring these items into our retail location: 3940 W. Centre Ave., Portage, MI 49024

How often should I have my fine jewelry appraised?

As the price of precious stones and metals fluctuates.  There are many variables to take into consideration.  Speak with your Insurance Agent as well.

What is the difference between 10, 14 & 18 karat gold?

Pure gold is 24 karat gold. 50% gold would be 12 karat. See gold chart below:
